Waking up at 5 in the morning isn't easy for any college student -- we avoid 8AM classes for a reason, and that's because if you're not sleeping in, it's going to be a long day. However, on the Outer Banks it's definitely an exception because of the famous sunrises we get to experience every single morning.

We woke up early, hopped in our cars, and set forward on an hour long dance portrait shoot on the beach at the crack of dawn, dodging the tourists and their cute dogs that ran in front of my camera as the sun made it's way over the horizon. This was my first real paid shoot, and I can't thank Cierra enough for giving me the opportunity to take her dance portraits!
